Forms and Form Editor

What is a Form?

  • A form is a document or digital interface with a fixed arrangement of input fields (fields or placeholders), designed for entering, extracting, or communicating the required information.

What type of forms qmsWrapper provides?

  • In qmsWrapper, we provide 2 types of forms: Form and Custom Task.
Forms are a file type and are used as attachments.
Custom tasks are a type of task, which means that in addition to system tasks (task, bug, meeting, feature, to do, etc.) you can create your own Custom Tasks to record any event in the company.

How can I create Forms and Custom Tasks in qmsWrapper?

  • You can create forms in qmsWrapper using Form Editor, where you can easily create new custom fields in the simplest way possible. The difference between Form and Custom tasks is that Forms don't have required fields, but Custom tasks have them (Subject, Assignee, Priority, Status, QMS Type, QMS tags). Note, that Form Editor is only available to Administrator, QMS, and Project Manager.

How can I use Forms and Custom Tasks?

  • All forms can be used after they are approved by an authorized user through the appropriate approval workflow, and set as Active. Forms could be attached to the issues in the Project module. When the assignee starts working on that issue, he/she will be able to add any approved form by clicking on the”+ Add Form Template” button.
Also, both forms can be used when creating a process. Forms can be attachment in one of the Issue steps, and Custom Task can be one step in the process.

Can Filled Forms and Custom Tasks be downloaded or printed?

  • Yes, both of the forms can be downloaded and printed.

How to prepare Reports from data collected with Forms or Custom Tasks?

  • In the Report Module, you can prepare reports by choosing a specific form and include some filters if it is necessary.
